Overseas Travel

The process for overseas screening varies depending on the situation. Shown below are four common situations. We'll look at each situation in more detail.

Special Note: During overseas screening, the Army looks at individual needs, not a diagnosis, to determine the best match between needs and projected assignment locations. The program recognizes the uniqueness of the individual, which is why every Family must appear in person for the screening activity with a completed questionnaire. Remember, EFMP is designed to help Families accompany their sponsor to the right overseas duty locations, not to exclude them.
